An unsatisfactory situation

Monday, July 9th, 2007

Sarah had her bag taken while she was at the Gym this afternoon.

The cost of replacing the front door lock on my house: £12.50 (fortunately, Ant has passed on enough info that I could do it myself)

The cost of replacing the lock for my Yaris: Around £1000 and it’s not optional. Our car insurance won’t cover it, yet our car isn’t covered for theft if it’s taken with the stolen key.

So which jackass at Toyota deliberately designed a lock that can’t be changed for less than 10% of the cost of a new car?
