chance meeting

Saturday, January 27th, 2007

Bumped into my cousin in Carnaby Street.

Then, on the way through Soho, saw James from Top Gear doing some filming. I’m curious what Top Gear article that could be about.

I appriciate this could be the dullest post ever, but I’m not sorry. I’m just logging.

(Pun intended). Check this out. Bucket of water outside freezes overnight forming a layer of ice on the top.

it’s windy out

I left the house this morning at 8.15. Early for me, but I had to be sure to be in for a 9.00 meeting. I waited for a bus to the station for nearly an hour in the rainy wind, eventually giving up to walk. The bus beat me to the station by about a minute.

There were a couple of hundred people loitering outside the station, so it was clear there was something up. At that moment, the line was resumed, so getting the train wasn’t too painful. It was so nice to sit down in the warm.

I got to work at about 10.30. I’d have stayed in bed another hour if I’d known.

Here’s the current situation as dipicted by the brilliant TFL real time travel news map. It’s very pretty. Good luck to everyone getting home tonight!

Aside from the travel problems, I really feel for people stuck without electricity, or who have had property damaged. That sucks the worst. Take care.
