moving (t minus five days)

Friday, February 23rd, 2007

Cast your mind back, dear reader, to one of the first posts I made on this blog, about house & cat sitting in Ruislip… Well, the news is that the house has finally sold, and everything is going through rather quickly. Today is Friday. We have to be out of there on Wednesday. Aaargh. Awooga awooga! Go to red alert.

So Gir and the cats will be officially coming to live with me until we find somewhere a bit more suitable to rent (ie. a bit bigger, ground floor, with a garden, where cats aren’t illegal.)

Most possessions will be coming to my place, but somethings we’re aquiring from the house (bed, fridge-freezer, washing machine) are going into storage. That’s simple enough. Unfortunately when Gir’s mum moved out, she left a load of stuff in the house, so not only do we have to sort our own stuff, we have to pack up the last of B’s, and get it on a removal van for her. I’ve no idea why some of this stuff didn’t go up with her in the first place. Plus, we have to clean. Everywhere. Basically, there’s a lot of work to do over the next five days.

Does anyone want to volunteer to look after the cats in their own home? My place really isn’t the best option, but it’s the only one right now, cattery being out of the question.
